Medicine Buddha Dharma Assembly of Praying-for-Peace in the early spring of the Horse Year in Taiwan 

Linh An Temple in Taipei, Taiwan (belonging to the Hoang Phap pagoda sect) solemnly organized the Medicine Buddha Dharma Assembly with the crowded participation of monks, nuns, and Buddhists living, studying, and working in Taiwan in the joyful atmosphere of the early spring of the Horse's Year.

 All participants gathered in the main hall, wholeheartedly reciting the Lotus Sutra, Chapter 25, praying for the support of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara.

 

Preparing vegetarian dishes with homeland flavors in the warm atmosphere of the early spring, the Buddhists offered them to the monks present, and sowed seeds of merit with the mass.

 

During a lecture themed "Lunar New Year's sharing" in the afternoon, the monks reminded attendees to rely on the Dharma and find peace in practicing the Buddha's teachings. Next, the mass chanted the Medicine Buddha Sutra, lit candles in prayers, offered food to spirits alone, and spread peaceful energy to all beings.

 

At the conclusion of Dharma assembly, the monks gave the Buddhists small gifts and New Year's lucky pockets from Head Master Thich Chan Tinh of Hoang Phap Pagoda (donated by the Pagoda's Abbot). In the spirit of relieving suffering and giving joy, the attendees divided the items, such as cakes and milk into practical gifts and directly delivered them to the homeless at Taipei Train Station (台北車站) immediately after the Dharma assembly concluded.

 

The ceremony ended in boundless joy for all. May the blessings of the Triple Gem support: the nation and whole people, world peace, and all sentient beings be sheltered in the Buddhas' compassionate light in ten directions.
