-  Dear Bhiksu!

\r\n\r\n

-  Yes, Bhagava.

\r\n\r\n

-  There\r\nare five business which are avoided. What are they? These are selling\r\nweapons, people, meat, wine and poison. Buddhists should not do these\r\ntrades.

 Comment:

\r\n\r\n

Business, selling is one of professions that create economic\r\neffect and many opportunities for wealth. But it’s easy to get failure. Because\r\ninvestment can be taken risk in a twinkling by market fluctuation, instability of\r\nprices and severe competition. Although market is battlefield, trade is always\r\nattractive because “one can’t get rich without engaging in trade”. One can\r\nhardly get rich without business.

\r\n\r\n

However not all trade affairs are successful by\r\neffort and understanding. Not all trading legally brings self\r\nhappiness and help to improve the society. In order to attain money quickly and\r\nprofitably, many people did illegal trading without a twinge of\r\nconscience and caused so many calamities. Contraband mission of weapons,\r\nnucleus; organizations of woman trader; series of drug trade; money laundering\r\nfrom multinational organization, criminal gangsters became dangerous\r\nperils that threaten the security and health of mankind.

\r\n\r\n

Not until now do mankind announced red alert and\r\nattacked determinedly on all kinds of economic crime. At the period of Buddha,\r\nhe accused of, struggled war against this type of danger. A Buddhist who\r\napplies Buddha’s teaching should not and mustn’t sell weapons, people, meat,\r\nwine and poison.

\r\n\r\n

Nowadays, mankind lives in civilized and progressive age. So\r\ntricks in trade from criminal groups, gangs are much more sophisticated and\r\nvery dangerous because of global trend. Better than anybody else, Buddhists are\r\nalways aware of danger of illegal trade, running after profits without thinking anything of\r\nits consequence. Instead, they should do legal business to create firm\r\nhappiness for themselves and society. Buddhists   determinedly fight\r\nagainst illegal activities and inhuman, unjust trade. It’s practical act of a\r\nBuddhist to Buddha’s Teaching.
