Visiting The Blind Society and Vocational Training Center for Disabilities and Orphans in Hoc Mon district

In the morning of July 30th 2014 (on July 4th, lunar Horse year), Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh with monks and Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda came to Vocational Training Center for Disabilities and Orphans and The Blind Society, in Hamlet 6, Xuan Thoi Thuong Commune, Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City.

Unlike the other months of the year, July is referred\r\nto a lovely name "Ullambana month" because of July, Ullambana season, is\r\nthe month that eachchild saves their gratitude and repayment\r\nto their parents.  As the Buddha taught: “All men are my\r\nfathers and all women are my mothers”; thus, the Ullambana season is\r\nnot only an pious season but also a passionate one for  all\r\nspecies, in which everyone can exchange the beautiful behaviors. On\r\nthat spirit, Hoang Phap pagoda organized charity programs in July.\r\nBeginning for a series of these programs was the charity to the Blind Society inHoc\r\nMon district including 120 gifts, each costed 385.000vnd.\r\nThen, they came to Ullambana month The Vocational Ttraining Center\r\nfor Disabilities and Orphans including 100 gifts; each valued 385.000vnd.

Before having done the charity, the group released\r\n900 kgs of fish and eels, whose merits would forward their current parents\r\nand grandparents with a long life, dead parents and grandparents, martyrs\r\nand killed fellow victims to be soul freed to happy worlds, also a\r\npeaceful country and the people’s happiness.

The entire amount of this charity was\r\nsponsored by Kim Oanh real estate company – Binh Duong province.
