The delegation paid a visit at Tinh Tam Thien Tu (pagoda in Kannapolis, North Carolina), and Cuc Lac pagoda (in Charlotte, North Carolina), two Vietnamese pagodas, whose abbots have been Senior Venerable Thich Tam Khanh and Senior Venerable Thich Thien Quang respectively. These two clergy men have tirelessly preached Buddha Dharma in US.

At 19:30, Sen. Ven. Thich Chan Tinh had a Dharma talk to Buddhists at Phuoc Hai ashram (Charlotte, North Carolina).

During the talk, he shared about the purpose for Buddhists going to pagoda: learning Dharma via listening to Dharma talk, contemplating and practice. Each person should study teachings of Buddha, the Enlightened One, to have the right view, right speech and right activities, in which wisdom (right view) is the foremost factor. It together with compassion and morality lead practitioners on the Path to Liberation. Buddhists should be aware that studying/practicing Dharma is the key for human being to be happy and peaceful.
