Visiting NASA center in Houston and preaching Dharma at Quang Duc Pagoda in Texas, US

In the morning of September 19, 2016, on the Dharma preaching trip to Houston, the Venerable Thich Chan Tinh and Buddhist devotees dropped by to visit Johnson Space Center.

This\r\nis one of the largest space centers of NASA, the leading space research unit in\r\nthe world. One of its functions is working as a space traffic station monitoring the non/human spaceflights and controlling\r\ncommunication between the earth and the spacecrafts.

In\r\nthe evening, the Venerable Thich Chan Tinh had a Dharma talk at Quang Duc\r\nPagoda in Texas, United States, in which, he shared about the quin-merits of\r\nDevas (Devatānusati) including\r\ntrust, morals, Dharma intellection, giving and wisdom, which can make practitioner a shining\r\ngem in the world. Trust means the belief in Buddha's teaching as the right Path\r\nfor people to the happiness and liberation, in Triratna as the light guiding\r\npeople in the dark world. Morals are the fundamentals that can help\r\npractitioners attain happiness and ease. Dharma intellection can help transform\r\nand heal people of sufferings. Giving can help people let things go easily,\r\nespecially the wrong views. Wisdom is the torch leading sentient being to the right\r\npath of peace and happiness. In life, the good and virtuous friends can help us\r\npromote the quin- merits of Devas hence we should be close to them to study.\r\nThat is why Buddhists should take refuge in Triratna, diligently practice to\r\nattain an easeful life and liberation.

At the end of the Dharma talk, the participants\r\nreceived DVD film “Searching for the Enlightenment” published by Hoang Phap\r\nPagoda as a Dharma gift.
