Visiting An Lac Pagoda and lecturing at Buddhist Nguyen Hang’s residence

In the morning Aug 30, 2016, Venerable Thich Chan Tinh and monks from Hoang Phap Pagoda visited nuns and Buddhists at An Lac Pagoda Indianapolis City, Indiana, United States.

In warm brethrenhood, Ven. Thich Chan Tinh sent his regards and Dharma gifts to the sangha and Buddhists . He also praised the diligent spirit of turning Dharma wheel in years of the abbess nun Thich Nu Nguyen Thien who has wholeheartedly preach Buddha’s teaching to sentient beings, especially the Westerners for years. This has been the lofty merit and virtue of the abbess.

 

In the afternoon, the Venerable Thich Chan Tinh visited Indianapolis metropolis and art museum.

 

In the evening, the Ven had a Dharma talk at Buddhist Nguyen Hang’s residence. He commended the Buddhists’ committed spirit of practicing here. Via the story of Buddha’s life, the Venerable reiterated the key notes of practicing as the acknowledgement of impermanence, cause and effect rule, karma. He also emphasized that being born as human and listening to Dharma are the ultimate valuable and rare blessing, without which, ones would painfully get closed loop in samsara forever. So, when getting the Path from Buddha’s teaching, Buddhists should diligently practice and transform the sufferings to get the other side of deliverance.

 

At the end of the session, the Venerable presented DVD film "Looking for the Enlightenment" and the book "Remaining in Happiness" as Dharma gift to the participants.

 

In the morning Sep 01, 2016, the delegation left Indiana for southern California.
