Summer Retreat
ummer Retreat on The Last Day: Go Home
Update: 04/08/2018
August 4th, 2018 (June 23rd, Lunar Calendar), is the last day of the summer retreat course.
In the morning, a Dharma Talk from Ven. Thich An Dat, reporter of Awakening Newspaper, on the title of “Go home”
Life is the journeys. Some journeys to discover the world, step out of self-bounds to grow up and more responsibility. But there are some journeys have no intention, take to vain, and have no any purpose for self and society as well.
Life may have various ways to start, however, no matter which choice you had done you finally have to get back. Some are glorious but some are not. In general, there are three places which are safe and firm to get back:
- Take refuge to yourself
- Back to our deep compassion
- Back to our quiet and calm in mind
We should equip ourselves with knowledge and moral values which are a need for life. If life is the journeys why don’t we make it more meaningful and valuable for self and others?
