Triratna Refuge Ceremony in Dong Cao Pagoda – Thanh Hoa Province

On the morning of June 19th, 2016 (Lunar May 15th, Monkey Year), Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh visited to Dong Cao pagoda, Nga Yen commune, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province in order to organize Triratna Refuge Ceremony for Buddhists here, according to invitation of Venerable Thich Tam Hung.
As usual, there is One-day Cultivation of Buddha Recitation at Dong Cao pagoda every month. Today's the day reciting the Buddha, The Venerable Abbot combined to organize Triratna Refuge Ceremony for Buddhists. In the morning, afterstabilizing ashrams, Venerable Abbot had asked Venerable Thich Tam Thanh at Co Am pagoda - Nghe An provice to explain the meaning of Triratna and talked about the majesty of the lay Buddhists.
In the afternoon, the Venerable Abbot asked Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, Venerable Thich Tam Thanh, Venerable Thich Tam Kinh, Venerable Thich Tam Hieu gathered the hall to explain three rules and five commandments for Buddhists. Before officially transferring refuge and precepts, the Venerable reminded people necessary things of Buddhists and encouraged them diligent practice. After that, the believers solemnly and respectfully held their vows to receive tranquil precepts.
