The Vesak Day at Hoang Phap in Cambodia

On May 14th, 2016 (April 19th, Rooster Year) in response to the invitation of Junior Venerable – The Abbot Thich Tam Truc, Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh – The Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda and the Monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda came to Kingdom of Cambodia to celebrate The Vesak Day (Buddha Calendar 2561 – Solar Calendar 2015).

At 9:00, The Vesak Day was officially started. Monks came to celebrate the rite of offering incense to Buddha. All honour under the illumination of Buddha to feel love from Buddha for all being when he is present. Next, balloons were released to fly to the propagative sky in Cambodia to pray for peaceful world and peaceful being.

After announcement of reason, introducing the program and participants, Buddhists children offered flowers sincerely respect to congratulate Vesak. Then, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Truc – The Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda in Cambodia - head of organization boardread the opening speech. Next, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Trongexplained the meaning of this great ceremony.

In the boundless joy, Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh – The Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda in Vietnam had some words to people about Buddha’s life. From here, directly related to our cultivation life, The Ven showed to everyone precious lessons from Buddha’s life since birth until enlightenment and Nirvana. Besides, The Ven emphasised the mind of“Four Noble Truths” in Buddhism. The Ven is like today thanks to great grace of Triple Gem and Buddha. All were lively Dharmas, shining examples for Buddhists to follow and lighthouse for Buddhists to orient. So we attain enlightenment and releasing suffering. Hence, being a Buddhist, we should respect the moments of following Triple Gem to cultivate. So we quickly attain desire of releasing suffering and help people to be peace and happy.

On this occasion, the organization board gave Buddhists DVD of “Groundbreaking Ceremony of Hoang Phap Pagoda – Cambodia”.
