Update: 09/09/2013
In the morning of September 8th, 2013 (August 4th, Snake Year), thousands of Buddhists from many places came to Hoang Phap pagoda to attend one-day cultivation.
\r\n\r\n
On this day, besides the time of chanting prayers to the\r\nBuddhas, in the morning the Buddhists took part in the program “The 42nd Buddha\r\nDharma Lightâ€. This is the program of questions and answers about the Buddha\r\nDharma, in which Buddhists can understand and apply the tenets of the Buddha in\r\ntheir lives. In this program, senior Ven. Thich Tri Chon – abbot of Khanh An\r\npagoda in District 12, had a Dharma talk on the issues: population, four\r\nelements of creatures, seven elements of the universe and explain the idioms:\r\n“Those who eat will be full; Those who cultivate their minds will be\r\nenlightenedâ€, and “One who practices the Dharma helps one’s ancestors be born\r\nin happy realmsâ€. The important participant of the program is Ven. Thich Chan\r\nTinh, the abbot of Hoang Phap temple.

Following are specific questions:
\r\n\r\n
Question 1: I am been heard by the sutra that the body is\r\ndifficult to be reborn, and the dharma is hard to hear from understanding. But\r\nsome opinions say: “The growing population proves that being a man is not\r\ndifficult. In other words, after the death man is easy to be reborn as another\r\nperson. Would you explain this idea in the viewpoint of Buddhism about the\r\nworld’s population growth?
\r\n\r\n
Question 2: I’ve recently been learned about the Buddhism\r\nthat: Making up a man or any objects needs four elements such as land, water,\r\nwind and fire. But recent time, it is said say they are not enough. They\r\nbelongs to seven elements. What is the difference between them?
\r\n\r\n
Question 3: So far, when learning about the tenets, I\r\nunderstand the sentence: “Whoever eating will be full; whoever cultivating will\r\nbe enlightened“; besides here is a saying: “Children retreating will make dead\r\nancestors reborn in the Pure Landâ€. So, is the previous information opposite to\r\nthe later meaning? Is it contrary to the law of causality? Would you answer\r\nthat?
