The Ordination Ceremony on Oct. 24th, Year of the Dragon

After the Sangha had entered the main hall, the ceremony was solemnly taken. One of these ones had a speech about the reason they became the monk. Most Master Thich Chan Tinh gladly gave them some advice before shaving hair.

 

Before starting on the renunciation, all good men turned to the parents to show their deep gratitude for the parents' nourishment, and kowtow to thank the great merit of their parents.

 

The ritual of leaving home was performed in a solemn atmosphere, the Most Master preached about the monk’s virtue to these new cultivators, such as listening the teachings, preserving the demeanor of dignity, offering Three Jewels, respecting the elders, improving three karma, hardworking of the mass, always thinking our mistakes without saying faults others, diligently practicing in order to repay to great Grace, and deserving as a messenger of the Tathagata.

 

The representative of these ones expressed his thanks to the Sangha. Then, Most Master presented gifts to these ones for congratulating them to officially become a monk.
