The Moving of “Mature Ceremony” on Summer ’s Cultivation at Hoa Phuc Pagoda in Hanoi Capital

The most important moment of a human life is at eighteen years old, when all have to face with many obstacles, difficulties and must learn how to self-solve serious decision which effects to life.

Continuing the good result that “Matured rite” in 2016 they had gained; in the evening of July 5th, 2017 (lunar June 12th, Rooster Year) at Hoa Phuc Pagoda belonging Hoa Truc Hamlet, Hoa Thach Commune, Quoc Oai District, Hanoi Capital, the organizers held a special program designed for more than 150 participants aged 18 to Summer’s Retreat "Return the peaceful place" in 2017.

 The ceremony took place in the presence of Senior Venerable Thich Giac Nguyen - Vice of Sangha Board including of the Vice of Propagation Board of Vietnam Buddhism Association in Tien Giang Province, the Chief of Buddhism Director Board of Go Cong, Tien Giang Province, Abbot of Hue Quang; Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hoa - Hoa Phuc Temple Abbot, Chief of Retreats' Organizer; together with Clergies from Pagodas as Hoang Phap, Tuyen Lam in HCMC , Lien Hoa in Binh Dinh, Lam Phap in Lam Dong, Bach Van in Kien Giang Province.

Together with more than 900 candidates who attended the summer’s retreat of the 2nd "Return the peaceful place". Besides, there is also the presence of nearly 100 representatives of parents whose children joined at the Maturity Rite.

 At the ceremony, attendees dressed traditional clothes, formally paid Four Grace Gratitude (Buddha, Teacher, Parent, and the Mass), sincerely offered to Triratna as well as Ven. monks tea cups of their gratitude to express their deep vow becoming a society‘s useful person.

At home, none of us are ready to worship, address apology and express gratitude to two living Buddhas. However, they were at Mature Rite getting this   chance at pagoda. Thank to organizers’ encouragement and good conditions, therefore, the young get occasions of worship, gratitude and expression to their parents. No styles or any writings could display sacred feelings currently. Thousands of cultivated students cried, hundreds of their parents quickly cleaned their tears because of being moved! The rites atmosphere was tranquil when Senior Ven. Thich Giac Nguyen preached dharma words which reminded their pious mind and gratitude to their masters and parents.

 Before the program’s end, the young in the responsible board for youth Buddhists at Hoa Phuc Pagoda offered a small gift to venerable monks, particularly to Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hoa who silently has instructed and taught them for many last years. The lecture hall suddenly fell in darkness, singing in the song “The Teacher’s Heart”, Each of the young on their hands was raising sparkling candles, when coming to the rostrum showing their sincere repentance. For many days, they have made mistakes which caused sadness to their master. Currently, they were repentant by their tiny heart, hoped their master with strong belief, and gave two wings to help them grow stably.

This humanity and meaningful rite took many drops of tear and brought precious lessons to their young mind. Hope that its meaningful program will develop more than in other educational program, particularly at summer’s retreats in where organizes for the young.
