The Great Ceremony of Buddha Birthday at Tam Phap Pagoda, Binh Phuoc

On May 18th, 2024 (April 11th, LC), Tam Phap Pagoda in Binh Phuoc province (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda’s sect) held the Great Ceremony of Buddha's Birthday, Buddhist calendar 2568.

At 9a.m, the ceremony was witnessed in presence of the Sangha to perform the ritual of Buddha Birthday.

After introducing the program and participants, Junior Thich Tam Duyet - Abbot of Tam Phap Pagoda - Head of the Organizers gave the opening speech at the ceremony.

Attending the program was the presence of monks and Buddhists of Hoang Phap Pagoda, and representatives of local government departments along with more than 200 man and woman Buddhists everywhere returned to the temple to attend.

Junior Thich Tam Huyen, Head of  Law supervisor of Hoang Phap pagoda proclaimed the Buddha's Birthday Message of Dharma Lord of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Buddhist Calendar in 2568.

Representatives of the local authorities and agencies also offered gifts to the Blessed One and congratulated the great ceremony. 

Expressing the gratitude to the participants, Junior Thich Tam Duyet had his thanking words to all the Sangha, Buddhists and all guests.

The ceremony took place in the solemn atmosphere and perfect achievement in joy of the mass.

Last, this year's Buddha's Birthday celebration is a candle lighting program and "Celebrating Birthday" performance. The program took place at 6:30 p.m on the same day with a special event performed by Tinh Ca Bac Son Volunteer Performing Group - Ho Chi Minh City.
