The Flower Lantern Festival Commemorating Buddha Amitabha at Quoc Thoi Pogoda – Ben Tre.

In the joy towards the ceremony of Amitabha Buddha"s birth, on December 26th, 2015 ( 16/11 Goat Year), the ashrams of Quoc Thoi Pagoda, An Hoa Hamlet, Long Thoi Village, Cho Lach District, Ben Tre Province held a solemn dignified flower lantern festival commemorating the Buddha Amitabha.
By the invitation of the Abbot Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hung, Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh and Hoang Phap Pogoda’s monks arrived Quoc Thoi Pogoda to witness and support the organization of the festival night.
The ceremony held in sacred and high meaning, which was a chance for the Buddhists, especially for the Dharma practitioners, to review the the great vows of the Buddha and His voluntarycultivating to be stable in the enlightened path.
Before the ceremony took place, the Buddhists from everywhere had gathered at the pagoda very early. They hoped to place a seat and waited eagerly to watch the shimmering beauty of the ceremony.
The miracle candle lights were lit on by the Buddhists to offer the Buddha. The lights were to dispel the dark of the delusion, the anger, and the jealousy and to clear the discrimination between the rich and the poor, the swanky and the mean, the happy and unhappy people in order to open the Pure Land in this world. The candle lights brought the natural virtue back to human beings and showed the Buddha lucid nature to reduce the sorrow of life.
