The corpe of Chinese Monk Remains Intact after Seventeen Years.

Ngo Thanh Van monk who lived in Henan province - China, died in 17 years ago but still has had a completed and undamaged body.
This is the Ngo Thanh Van's cadaver in Ling Ye pagoda, Henan\r\nprovince, China.

He has a brown light skin, a white bread and hair, his eyes\r\nand nose are undivided.
According to his disciple, Mr.Ngo was born in 1838s. In 15\r\nyears old, his parents died, he came to a temple in Shaanxi province, the\r\nwestern of China for being a monk. He died in 1998s, at the age of 160 years\r\nold.
However, police said that his word was incorrect because in\r\nthe registration document of the government in 1980s, Mr.Ngo declared that his\r\nage was 84. Therefore, he was only born in 1896s and passed away at 102 years\r\nold.

After that, the follower brought him to Ling Ye pagoda, in\r\nThien Ung township, Anyang city, Henan province, the north of China for\r\npreserving in a glass coffin.
Mr.Ngo was alive.
Dr.Zhang, who has worked in the Hospital of oriental\r\nmedicine of Hanen, said his corpe was soaked in formaldehyde. She explained,\r\nwhen he died, his body will be decayed slowly by an enzyme in cells.\r\nNevertheless, if his phycical was soaked in formaldehyde, this enzyme will be\r\ndestroyed and denatured protein, so the body does not rot furthermore.

In addition, while soaking in formaldehyde, the skin will\r\nchange to dark brown but still softy and elastic.
Ling Ye temple, Henan province, was built nearly 1,500 years\r\nago.
