The 80th Seven-Day Retreat

On September 1st, 2015 (Lunar July 19th Goat Year), Hoang Phap pagoda officially started the 80th Seven-Day Cultivation Course (from 1st to 8th September, 2015) with almost 2,000 Buddhists both at home and abroad.

As usual, in the morning of the first day at the lecture halls, the whole attendance Buddhists were instructed by the monks who taught dignified actions as walking, standing, lying, sitting, holding hands, greeting, bowing, etc., besides, the attenders were also arranged for places of the rest, meals, firmly areas of lecture halls.


In the afternoon same day, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Dao, Vice-Abbot Hoang Phap pagoda came the main lecture hall, represented the Sangha and instructed the necessary rules of the seven-day cultivation. 


Because of keeping silent being the requirements for during its time, Buddhists were not permited in conversation together. Cellphones, electronic equipments were not allowed to use so that attenders could avoid suddent interrupin; so concentrating best for their cultivation. Besides, other rules were explained clearly, concretely by the Junior.


The principles of the retreat course which would help the mandala having the purity and solemnity were required. Therefore, the organizers hope the whole Buddhists to seriously practice; the mass would obtain one-week cultivation of peace and contentment, happiness and many blessings.
