The 54rd Kid Playground

Hoang Phap Pagoda organized the 54th Kid playground for over 700 kids to attend on June 16th, 2024.

After registering, little learners came to the lecture hall to participate in funny activities and do exercise.

 All Kids listened to a dharma talk on the topic named A summer has come, let's return to the temple my learners, preached by Junior Thich Dao Thuyen, monks of Hoang Phap pagoda.

 The monk taught:

*. Four methods to help children become successful, have good personalities and be more likable in life:

1. Silence shows respect for others and is also a way to learn many good things.

2. Listening is to understand what we need to learn from the person communicating.

3. Observation will see what should and should not be done; what's good, what's not good.

4. Remembering will help to absorb, accumulate and cultivate good and beautiful things.

* The value of loving:

1. Parents are cute but their children are not cute: parents have good moral character, are good-minded, and take care of the family; Children are not well-behaved, love to play, hang out with bad friends, and do not pay attention to their studies.

2. Children are cute but their parents are not cute: Children are well-behaved, do not interact with bad friends, study well; Parents are not exemplary and participate in unwholesome activities.

3. Parents are not cute and their children are not cute: parents are not exemplary and participate in unwholesome activities; Children love to play, have bad friends, and don't care about studying.

4. Parents are cute and their children are also cute: parents have good moral character, are good-natured, and take care of the family; Children are well-behaved, don't make bad friends, and study well.

The monk advised parents to cherish life, know how to love, care for and educate their children, and aim for a life of truth, goodness and beauty; Children try to study, be obedient, filial, obey their parents and grandparents, and stay away from bad habits.

* Know how to love ourselves:

 He points out some necessary skills for children to defend themselves and escape from danger, such as: When going to strange places or near lakes, rivers and streams; When lost way; Know how to admit mistakes and apologize.

Then, children interacted with young singers Thao Nhi and Minh Thu after the dharma talk.

Little litteners sit meditation and re-read the comic book Mother-Father grace compiled by Most Thich Chan Tinh. Understanding the hardship, wearing and love of their parents, the kids should be grateful, be more filial and obedient.

There is an exchange program with Bui Luu Bao Khanh - Vietnam's Youngest Reading Culture Ambassador to the children in the afternoon.

Young learners join group games, watch magic from  Monkey King    - Cao Phi;  Zhu Bajie (Pigsy) – Chau Phong after the exchange event.

The day of practice ended with the joy of the children and their parents.
