The 51st Program of Dharma Light
Q. 1: Honorable Venerable!
I have been a daughter-in-law for 10 years. My mother-in-law\r\nis unkind and bullies me overtly. She is always punctilious and scolds at me in\r\nunstinting words. For example, she continuously said that being a\r\ndaughter-in-law in her house was really easy, and happy as if I, a rat falling\r\ninto a jar of rice, meanwhile her own daughter becames a miserable\r\ndaughter-in-law. she probably did ill-treat me to revenge for her daughter who\r\nhad failed to have love from husband’s family. Many times I want to divorce my\r\nhusband because he simply unhold and even takes her side, however, I cannot let\r\nmy children separated. I am so sorrowful and do not know how to live happily\r\nwith my mother-in-law as well as my husband’s family. Please give me advice.
I sincerely give many thanks.
Q. 2: Honorable Venerable!
In the end, Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh, the abbot of\r\nHoang Phap pagoda and the director Buddhist Dharma Light program, made comments\r\non the answers of Junior Venerable Thich Dao Quang. Moreover, in the\r\nspirit of the Vesak’s great ceremony ( Buddhist Calendar 2559 – Solar Calendar\r\n2015), he encouraged Buddhists should, respond to this notable ceremony, hang\r\nflying flags and banners at homes and if possible they establish a Lumbini\r\ngarden at home yards to show deep gratitude and commemoration to the Buddha’s\r\nbirthday. The procedure of flying flags, banners in the Vesak day were directed\r\nby Central Buddhist Church of Vietnam and approved by the Buddhist Governmental\r\nDepartment, therefore, this is not illegal and officially authorized by\r\ngovernment. The Vesak is regarded as the greatest ceremony of Buddhism. The\r\nVen. hopes Buddhists should carry out practical actions to commemorate the great\r\nritual.
