The 4th Essay of Seeding Wisdom

“Life is a trumpet. It makes no sound when no one plays it”. Life also does not reserve available fruits for us without any target effort. It is the same as mine. I myself was born in a farming family in a remote rural area. I was lucky to school comparing to other peers of age. My parents always saved a little money for our ultimate education.

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Sometimes, I felt hopeless when thinking if I could keep\r\ngoing to class or not because of the financial problem. However, my parents\r\nwere determined to let me complete my study despite the poverty. My parents are\r\nboth sick. My dad is over fifty, but he always seize part-time job beside\r\ntaking care for our small garden. He never hesitate hard work earning money for\r\nour school fee. My mom is often busy collecting bottles and sewing clothes.\r\nHowever hard they have to work, the poverty still follows us. We live in a\r\ntemporary straw-thatch cottage that is all leaked every gust of rain.

We always ask second-hand books to study from other pupils.\r\nI can not even afford to buy reference books or attend entrance training\r\ncourses, but listen to the lectures so as to spend time doing the homework.\r\nLooking at my Dad’s figure struggling just to make ends meet and my Mom’s worry\r\nby flickering lamp and listening to their deeply sigh by bad crops, I promise\r\nmyself that I will try my best so as not to disappoint my parents’ expectation.\r\nIt’s said that one can’t change the wind direction but change its sail. I could\r\nnot choose my own family’s condition but I can reform it better in the future.

Overcoming many difficulties, I am now a senior at the\r\nUniversity of Economics- Law. In the past six semesters I attained good and\r\nexcellent degree. I am ranked for top students studying English, Computing\r\nScience to accumulate more knowledge. I also earn a living as a tutor for the\r\nCenter. I have estabished my future project. Some day, I would like to be an\r\neconomic drafter to renovate the country in better reformation, support all the\r\ndisadvantaged children with easy schooling without any worries about their\r\nexpenses.

Lots of challenges, I think, will be done for us in the\r\nfuture, but I believe that wherever there is a will, the path will appear. The\r\nsuccess will reach to anyone who make the best effort of living and working. A\r\nscientist once said “Give me a fulcrum, I will lift the earth up”. The\r\nscholarship, I hope, is becoming a fulcrum approaching to my own dream.\r\nAlthough the scholarship seems little to some people but for me it will be\r\nboththe spiritually precious encouragement relating to the concern,\r\nconfirmation, and the meaningful support of the school fee, which lessens my\r\nfinancial worry so that I can focus on my study. I promise to try my best to\r\nrespond the expectation from my family, the society and the scholarship\r\norganization.
