The 35th Great Master’s Death Anniversary of Hoang Phap Pagoda Founder at Dong Cao Pagoda - Thanh Hoa
On the morning of Nov. 26th, 2023, Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa solemnly held 35th Anniversary of Late Great Master Ngo Chan Tu, Hoang Phap Pagoda 's Founder (HCMC) passed away and the Patriarchs had contributed and practiced at Dong Cao pagoda in the past periods.
The ceremony took place under the witness of Junior Thich Tam Trong, Abbot of Nhat Phap Pagoda, Dong Nai; Junior Thich Tri Thong, Abbot of Tan Binh Pagoda, Quang Nam, Junior Thich Dao Thuyen, Abbot of An Thai Tu Pagoda, Nghe An; Junior Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda, Head of the Organizer Board, and over 1000 Buddhist men and women everywhere returned to attend.
In a solemn atmosphere after declaring the reason and introducing the ceremony, the mass recited Buddha's prayers for blessings. Buddhists representing the ashram respectfully invited the monks to come to Ngo Chan Tu lecture hall, and offered alms on the Founder commemoration.
Junior Thich Tam Trong declared the history of Late Master Ngo Chan Tu. To express Buddhists’ gratitude to the Late Great Master, Buddhist Lien Thanh gave her speech to him.
In the program, Junior Thich Tam Hung stated some words of compliments to the late Most Venerable. His career was a bright example for the lay-home Buddhists and leaving-home ones to follow. This chance, he also advised every Buddhists should learn Sutras more diligently in order to repay grace to the late Great Master. Continuing the program, Lien Luyen Buddhists offered the song Gratitude at the ceremony.
After that, the monks and Buddhists had time to pray, remember the Patriarch's grace, express their infinite gratitude to the Three Jewels and his image, pray for the Patriarch's spirit to be reborn to the Buddha realm; everlasting Dharma teachings, happiness everywhere. Then, the mass donated items to monks and nuns.
All participants together had lunch in a solemn and warm atmosphere .
Last, Buddhists received dharma book gifts before leaving.
