The 11 th "Lotus seeds Sowing" Retreat at Dong Cao Pagoda, Thanh Hoa

With the theme "Tet reunion 2023" of Jan. 01st, 2023, Dong Cao pagoda (Thanh Hoa province) belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda organized the 11th Lotus seed Sowing Retreat for nearly 100 children from 6 - 13 years old to attend.

After the registration procedure in the morning, Ms Lien Thanh and members in the Youth Club showed them fun games, and study dignities when coming to the temple.

Next, the children returned to the living room to ask about the Abbot’s health and receive gifts from him. Continuously, pupils learned the skill of making vegetarian dumplings by Ms. Nguyen Thi Chinh, and members of Huong Thien restaurant, Thanh Hoa City, Thanh Hoa province provided guidance to help them become independent in daily tasks before reading books. All of them released creatures to express their love to sentient beings, led by the Abbot.

In the afternoon, the children started the time to sit quietly and read the poem “Gratitude” led by Abbot and listen to his teachings. At exactly 14:30, all children enjoyed the "New Year's folk dance" performance. After that, the children were guided to meditate, and watched the flowers bloom in the spring in the temple grounds by the Abbot.

At the end of the practice day, monks give emulation prizes to groups, other children receive dharma gifts from the Organizers.
