Supporting cancer patients to attend One-Day Practice

On June 18th, 2023 at Hoang Phap pagoda, monks and Oncology Club assisted 59 patients of Cancer Hospital gathering at the pagoda to attend One-Day Practice.

After having breakfast, Buddhists came to the lecture hall of area C to begin reciting the Buddha's name, walking meditation and chanting precepts.

After the rite, Junior Thich Tam Luan - Abbot of Bao Quang Pagoda in Dong Nai province came to the lecture hall to share a dharma talk named Spider silk threads to the mass.

After reciting the Buddha name in the afternoon, Buddhists practiced sitting meditation quietly. The day of practice ended in the joy of participants.

Before patients leaving the pagoda, Junior Thich Tam Hue gave gift portions to 51 patients. Each patient received 100,000VND.

The total amount to 59 patients is 5,900,000 VND supported by Ms. Tuyet Ngoc ‘s Group, Phuc Anh Duong.

He praised the patients' difficult overcoming spirit, although the body was sick but the mind was not, and returned to the pagoda to cultivate. He advised them to take refuge in Three Jewels, diligently recite Buddha's name, study and practice Buddha's teachings, and will have a peaceful and happy life.
