Supporting cancer patients to attend One-Day Practice

On May 21st, 2023 at Hoang Phap pagoda, monks and Oncology Club assisted 51 patients of Cancer Hospital gathering at the pagoda to attend One-Day Practice.

After having breakfast, Buddhists came to the lecture halls to begin reciting the Buddha's name, walking meditation and chanting precepts.

After the rite, Senior Thich Nhat Tu - Vice President of Vietnam Buddhist University in HCMC, Deputy of Central International Buddhist Department of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Abbot of Giac Ngo Pagoda (HCMC) came to the ashram to answer Buddhists' questions.

 After reciting the Buddha name in the afternoon, Buddhists practiced sitting meditation quietly.

The day of practice ended in the joy of participants.

Before patients leaving the pagoda, Junior Thich Tam Hue gave gift portions to patients. Each patient received 150,000VND.

The total amount to 51 patients is 7,650,000 VND supported by Ms. Tuyet Ngoc ‘s Group, Ms Dieu Hoa, My Le, Ms Ut Sanh in Binh Duong.

He praised the patients' difficult overcoming spirit, although the body was sick but the mind was not, and returned to the pagoda to cultivate. He advised them to take refuge in Three Jewels, diligently recite Buddha's name, study and practice Buddha's teachings, and will have a peaceful and happy life.

The money is not much, but all patients felt gratitude for givers, because there are still many people helping to share, love and motivate them overcoming the disease.
