Summer Retreat on the 3rd Day: “Hey, Stranger!”
Update: 01/08/2018
Summer Retreat on the 3rd day (July 31st, 2018) all students listened to a Dharma sharing from Ven. Thich Tam Chanh on the title: “Hey, stranger!”
The topic’s inspiration came from a V-pop song named “Hey, stranger!”, one of the hit songs, and it’s so popular that almost the young people all know. The song is about finding someone to share all the emotions in life. Because he/she had yet to appear so it’s named “Hey, stranger!”. Venerable Thich Tam Chanh sent his message to all students that for social relationships, no matter it’s friendship or love, we should treasure and keep it to overcome all the discords and conflicts which can separate them and change the close-relationship to be strangers, even though they used to be best friends before. He took many practical examples concert to the teenagers so they really feel useful and excited by the constant applause and laughter.
At the end of the talk, he turns the lecture atmosphere to emotion, makes people tearfully feeling. He said friendship and love sometimes change people to the strangers, but still have another people, who always love us, never cheating or bringing suffering for us but we still consider them as the strangers sometimes, they are our parents. We have thousands of reasons to blame and get angry with our parents if they don’t pamper or satisfy us. The talk takes all the young people to the silent sphere for a moment. He hopes after listening the young people should pay more attention to their parents, the living Buddha at home and take the time to think about what they had behaved to them.
In the afternoon there is a Ullambana Sutra chanting and start the Hoang Pap's Got Talent Knockout Competition.
