Summer Retreat in 2014-Special Retreat for Students

The sudden summer rain comes and passes, the red phoenix-flower petals blooming and signaling a coming summer. Summer will appear in the expectation of the young to join in the retreat hold at Hoang Phap pagoda after a long and hard study year in school. After several days of preparation, Hoang Phap Pagoda received student attendants from all places of the country.

Summer will\r\nappear in the expectation of the young to join in the retreat hold at Hoang\r\nPhap pagoda after a long and hard study year in school. After several days of\r\npreparation, Hoang Phap Pagoda received student attendants from all places of\r\nthe country.

 In June 13th, and 14th, 2014 (Lunar May\r\n16th and 17th, Horse Year) nearly 1,500 young people aged from 18 to\r\n25 have gathered in the temple to register the course "Summer Retreat for\r\nStudents in 2014 ".

\r\n\r\n

After the registration, they were guided visiting and\r\nsketchily introducing about Hoang Phap pagoda.

\r\n\r\n

In this retreat, they will be lectured issues including\r\nthe idealism of life, social problems, family, friendship, love,\r\netc. Especially, this retreat also has talk show on the topic "Don't drop\r\noff me, Mum" and a dharma talk “Only one in life”, they will also attend\r\ngame show "S-Buddhists" accompanied attractive prizes.

In the morning of June 15th, the summer retreat 2014\r\nofficially began. On the first day, the monks here arranged them for their\r\naccommodation, sleeping place and listened to lectures, and they get\r\nnecessarily majestic behaviors like how to palm hands for greeting, for\r\npraying, for honoring offerings to the Buddha’s, etc. Besides, an integral part\r\ncontributing to the success of this retreat is the  rules and\r\npractice sessions.

\r\n\r\n

In the afternoon, Sen. Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, the abbot of\r\nHoang Phap Pagoda -   Head of Organizing Board,  came to the\r\nhall to share   Buddha-Dharma as well as had a few words of\r\nencouragement and boosting diligent excitement to attendants in this retreat.

\r\n\r\n

The Ven pointed out the happiness that they own in hands.\r\nThey are:

Happiness is when we have good health.

\r\n\r\n

Happiness is when we do not to fight in battles.

\r\n\r\n

Happiness is when we live in peacetime.

\r\n\r\n

Happiness is when we attend the summer retreat.

\r\n\r\n

He emphasized this would a beneficial merit for them;\r\ntherefore, they should always try to practice, absorb the utmost beauty for the\r\nluggage to live at present as well as in the future.

\r\n\r\n

Special summer retreat in 2014 promised to bring useful\r\nlessons, deep experiences, and solemn moments of purity and settles to look\r\nback by them. In addition, it was also the opportunity of their communication,\r\nstudy, playing comfortably after the days of stressful lessons. This retreat is\r\nwaiting plenty of interesting things, which are being started.
