In the ceremony, Venerable Thich Tam Hoa took, offered incense, told the Buddha and instructed the Buddhists to perform the chanting ceremonies and chant peace and health into the five-color threads and put them into each child’s hand. Besides that, the organization also gave a small present of candies and cookies. Peaceful, healthy prayers, wishes for a fun for a meaningful children's day were sent to the children by the Venerable.
The Venerable had some teachings for Buddhists, especially parents, who need to pay more attention to the education and protection of children from trading and abuse. He also advised Buddhists to learn and apply children's education in the spirit of Buddhism through the values ​​of Truth-Good- Beauty in daily life. Let the children be nurtured and nursed by seeds of goods, seeds of knowledge from early years.
Recently, as press, media agencies have been constantly reporting on child abuse in many places, we also need to rethink the way we educate and protect our children against those dangers. From urban to rural, from delta to highland, wherever and whenever, children can be victims by moral decadence and full of desire people. We should concern, educate and protect the children so that the future sprouts of the Dhamma - the Nation are raised in the love and protection of all. We need to speak up and protect children from abuse.
