Sharing Dharma at Pétrus Ky Secondary - Primary School in Binh Duong

At the invitation of the Leadership Board of Pétrus Ky School in Binh Duong in the extracurricular activities program from May 25th-28th, 2022 with the theme "Pétrus Students - Aspiration to Dedication", monks had a meeting to share the topic: Filialness - Gratitude for all students at the school.
Before starting the talk, the monks instructed all learners to sit quietly to return to theirself. Then, Junior Thich Tam Trong, manager of Nhat Phap Pagoda, Dong Nai shared with them about filial piety in the family tradition between parents and children. The monk mentioned the reasons that lead to parents and children not having a connection, misunderstanding and leading deadlock. It was a disagreement between two generations. Therefore, both generations need to listen to opinions and behave according to the situation. Importantly, he emphasized that all of them are the inheritance of their parents, therefore, they should always learn, remember and preserve the roots of Vietnamese cultural traditions.
Interspersed in the program is a bamboo flute performance of the song named Mother 's Heart from Junior Thich Tri Thong.
Next, Junior Thich Tam Luan, Abbot of Bao Quang Pagoda, Dong Nai province talked to listeners about what a person chooses for himself that determines his personality. Therefore, let's show that we are children and students by our knowledge, competence and moral values. Venerable reminds them to study hard to have a bright and good future to repay the kindness of parents and teachers' expectations. Cherish the moment we still have with our parents and dedicate ourselves to being filial, don't let it be too late.
Then, Junior Thich Chuc Hieu shared about gratitude in the spirit of Buddhism by Four great grace; that is, the four great graces of a person has to remember: the grace of parents, Master, the country, and sentient beings. Gratitude will shape the right action in each individual and the whole community.
This occasion, the monks answered questions of the students on this topic.
By the way, the monks gave 1,100 gifts of Dharma to the students, including the book Childhood Lessons, Youth Lessons, Good examples in East and West 1, Hidden Corners and 40 gifts to Teachers including a set of books Good examples in East and West, A brief Introduction of Hoang Phap monastery, Childhood Lessons, Youth Lessons.
These are valuable books with practical lessons, helping children to form their personality, morality, and benefit themselves, their families and society.
