Repentant Ceremony at Suoi Phap Pagoda, Tay Ninh
Update: 15/04/2022
On April 14th, 2022 (March 14th, LC) good men and believing women returned to Suoi Phap Pagoda to attend the periodic penance rite.
In response the invitation of Junior Thich Tam Huong, Abbot of Suoi Phap Pagoda, Junior Thich Tue Hanh, a monk of Chanh Dang Giac pagoda in Tan Hoi, came to the ashram to give a lecture on the topic Sowing Good Seeds in the Three Jewels.
The monk quoted the Buddhist scriptures that teach that: It is difficult for the human body to form, as well as Buddha's Dharma is difficult to hear.
We have the human body today because many past lives have sowed good roots, such as filial piety to parents, respectfully making offerings to the Three Jewels, giving alms to the poor, and practicing Dharma precepts. Next, we are very fortunate to meet the true Dharma, meet the ashram to cultivate, proving that we have planted a lot of good causes before we have the opportunity to meet. Therefore, let us cherish our human fate and strive diligently to practice in order to abandon unwholesome seeds.
The Buddha taught, the most blessings in the world is respect to parents. If we often respect and serve, we will receive immeasurable blessings. Moreover, the Three Jewels is a region of transcendent merit over the world, so we should respectfully make offerings, praise and practice according to the Dharma.
