Repentant Ceremony at Dong Cao pagoda in Thanh Hoa

On March 31st, 2022 (Feb. 29th, Year of the Tiger), good men and believing women in and out of Nga Sơn district returned to Dong Cao Pagoda to attend the periodic penance ceremony.

After Lien Hong Buddhists read rules of the ashram, Abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda, Junior Thich Tam Hung guided the mass to observe their three karma, and review Three Refuges and Five Precepts of lay Buddhists.

Meeting enough conditions and accepted the invitation of the Dong Cao pagoda's Abbot during his affair trip to Vietnam, Junior Thich Chanh Tri, Abbot of Vietnam pagoda in the United States, visited to the pagoda and went to the main hall to teach Dharma to the mass. By simple and brief words and meaningful parables, the monk helped Buddhists understand more about Buddhism and steady bodhichitta on the path of Buddhist practice.

The ritual ended in the joy of the participants.
