Repentance ceremony on May 30th, Year of the Tiger

On June 28, 2022 (May 30, LC), men and women Buddhists inside and outside HCMC to Hoang Phap pagoda to attend the periodical penitential ceremony.

 Before the ritual, Junior Thich Tam Trinh had a session to share the Buddhadharma with the mass, named "Words the heart wants to express".

Humans have ancestors and relatives,

Like a tree with roots, like a river with a source.

Our existence in this life is a combination of many causes and conditions, including the blood of parents. On the occasion of the Dharma talk, he recalled the memory of his parents, recalling the merits of being born and raised.

The monk talked about the time he spent taking care of his sick mother in the hospital with his deep life experiences. There are experiences for us to realize the truth from life or reflect on what we already know. He has seen death close to him to see clearly that human life is fragile and impermanent. He was always mindful, alert when faced with life's temptations. Moreover, the propagation of dharma for the benefit of life can be done anywhere, such as helping people to become vegetarian, sowing faith in the Three Jewels, changing the way people look at monasticism, advising to do good and avoid evil...Our outer appearance is not as important as how we live that everyone can trust, love, and benefit for life.

Finally, the Venerable reminded the listeners to cherish while our parents are still beside us.

After the Dharma talk, the mass started the penitential ceremony as usual.
