Update: 03/01/2016
Dated January 3rd, 2016 (November 24th, Lunar Goat year), Senior Venereble Thich Chan Tinh returned to Quang An pagoda located at Tan Loi Commune, Hon Quan District, Binh Phuoc Province by the invitation of Junior Venerable Thich Tam An, the abbot of pagoda.
If a living being was not enlightened, he/she would be directed into one of six realms of samsara by karmic power. They were gods, human beings, asuras, hell, hungry ghosts and animals. It was very important when received human body because human beings had opportunity to practice the Dharma in order to liberate from worldly existence. While the other realms had no chance to practice Dharma for liberation. "Being born is finite; being dead is infinite". We were born in this world and could be estimated dates, but no one knew any time they would die. The Buddha taught that "it is difficult to be reborn as a human being" ; so, when there was a human body, we must be careful to use it in order to bring back the benefits to ourselves and society.
Buddha was the Great Lord of Doctor. Whatever sickness the sentient beings had, Buddha would give the Dharma methods to face and control them. Buddha taught that practice means what kind of sickness you had, the correct treatment would be applied. It didn't mean that you came to the pagoda to pray for your peace and health without practicing the Dharma. Cultivation means you had to correct wrong things to right things and bad things to good things. You, daily, had to contemplate and mend three karmas of body, speech and mind in oder to keep it purer and purer. Buddhists who learned Buddhism must thoroughly understand the doctrine, then apply it in our life so that we got the peace and happiness for ourselves and the others.
After the Dharma talk, the gifts of VCDs "Religious happiness in life" and books "Incalculable misfortune and happiness" were given to them.
