Preaching dharma at Dien Quang pagoda in the second day of propagation trip in the Northern
Update: 28/01/2023
On the morning of Jan. 28th, 2023 Most Thich Chan Tinh had a Dharma lecture at Dien Quang pagoda in Guot village, Viet Hung commune, Que Vo district, Bac Ninh province.
The mass chanted the Medicine Sutra, praying for a new year of peace and health before the preaching session. After that, all practitioners listened to the Dharma talk shared by the Most Ven.
Having enough good conditions to return to Dien Quang Pagoda after nearly 6 years, the Most Ven gave compliments to monks and Buddhists at the temple. He praised the commitment of four- group disciples to serve the Dharma so that the temple grew more and more with encouraging achievements.
During the Dharma, the Most Ven explained the meaning of the word "Dien Quang" which is the name of the temple that the Founders wanted to tell the next generations. “Dien” is permanent; "Quang" is light. Eternal light symbolizes wisdom. By wisdom, we will see the truth of life as impermanent, suffering, and not-self. Accordingly, the Most Ven pointed out these three truths. In order to have a profound understanding of the nature of life, Buddhists must study the Buddhadharma, from which they will not be mistaken for everything in the world to be stable, and then indulge, creating negative karma that leads to suffering. When having the right perception, we will have the right words and actions, leading to peaceful and happy results.
The Dharma talk ended in joy for the attendees.
After the preaching at Dien Quang Pagoda, the Most Ven and all monks in the group continued their tour. Arriving in Hanoi, the group stopped at the house of Buddhists Lien Sa - Tinh Xuyen, held a small ritual to pray for peace at the beginning of new year for a new house of Buddhists.
In the afternoon, the Most Ven and all the monks arrived to Bang Pagoda in Hoang Mai District, Hanoi to visit and wish Tet Most Thich Bao Nghiem. During the visit, Most Thich Chan Tinh praised the spirit of the Master at Bang Pagoda in spreading the Dharma and Buddhist activities. In response, the Most Ven at Bang Pagoda expressed his gratitude to Most Thich Chan Tinh who instructed the monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda for many years to assist in organizing great ceremonies and retreats at the temple. The visit is the tightening of deep relationships between monks, and the close connection in the Dharma between the South and the North.
