Preaching at Bưu Phươc Pagoda, Bên Tre Province.

On Dec, 26th 2015 ( Nov, 16th Goat Year) Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh visited Buu Phươc pagoda, Thanh Phu district, Bên Tre province preached to Buddhists as nun Thich Nư Tinh Chuyen’s invitation.

We are born in this life with different appearance, personality and life span; as a result of our speech, activity, thought from the past. Buddhism calls it is karma. Thus, we build karma, it is unstable, good or bad, all due to our decision. For example, we plant orange tree, we will have organ; we plant chili tree, we will harvest chili. As a result, the Buddhists should wisely practice  body, speech and mind everyday to achieve present happy life and afterlife at a good realm.

 

Cultivators who want to get back to the Pure Land need to accumulate virtue and merit. Good karma has to be accumulated through many generations and lives; we cannot expect planting today, tomorrow getting the harvest. Buddhism practitioners are like farmers, we need to plant good seeds, wise cultivation, when attaining enough predestination and blessing, we will get the achievement. That was the content that the Senior Venerable talked to the people.
