Pilgrimage at the beginning of Year of the Cat

On Jan. 22nd, 2023 (Jan. 1st, LC), Junior Thich Tam Hue, Head of Charity Department of Hoang Phap Pagoda, Hoc Mon, HCMC led a group of pilgrimage to ten pagodas including monks and 280 Buddhists. They visited the temples and pagodas in Hoc Mon, District 2, Thu Duc district in HCMC.

The route to worship 10 pagodas is changed every year with the aim of building a spiritual life towards the good, noble for Buddhists, and creating good conditions, sending prayers to the spiritual temples,... This helps cultivate merit by making offerings to the Three Jewels.

Spring is an opportunity for people to bond with each other, through visits, caring gestures, as well as establishing increasingly strong social relationships. In addition to being responsible for the family and society, a Buddhist should also have a need for spiritual advancement by visiting monasteries and paying homage to the religious clergy. That beauty has become a spiritual culture that today is practiced by many monasteries and Buddhists.

Hoang Phap pagoda, Hoc Mon, HCMC - Most Venerable Thich Chan Tinh - is the first point of the offering. On this occasion, monks and Buddhists listened to the early spring dharma and wishes of peace in the new year from the venerable master. In the story of the cat year, the Venerable Master sent a message to reflect and draw lessons, actions ... suitable for their conditions and circumstances as well as society.

The Venerable Abbot has sent Buddhists lucky pockets at the beginning of the year and a gift of Dharma. Next, the group moves to:

2- Hue Nghiem 2 Pagoda, Thu Duc District, headed by Most President Thich Tri Quang.

3- Minh Dang Quang monastery, District 2 led by Most Director Thich Giac Toan. 

4- Tu Quang Pagoda, Thu Duc District, led by Senior Abbot Thich Thien Y. 

5- Van Duc Pagoda, Thu Duc District, led by Most Abbot Thich Hoang Tri. 

6- Van Hanh Pagoda, Thu Duc District, led by Nun Abbot Thich Nu Giac Thanh. 

7- Chau Hung Pagoda, Thu Duc District, led by Junior Abbot Thich An Hoa. 

8- Bao Thang Pagoda, Thu Duc District, led by Nun Abbot Thich Nu Nhu Khai.

9- Hue Nghiem Pagoda 1, Thu Duc district, led by Senior Abbot Thich Le Phu.

10- One Pillar Pagoda Thu Duc, led by Junior Abbot Thich Minh Dao.

At each destination, the group worshiped the Buddha, visited, then offered to pray for the Buddhist affairs here to be quickly accomplished, meeting the study and practice of monks - nuns, Buddhists, serving the needs of the religion for everyone. After that, the group paid homage to the Most, Senior, Junior, Nun of the Sangha, listened to the good Dharma so that each person could take it as the knowledge on the path of Buddhist study; and will start a New year with many happy and peaceful things.

The pilgrimage ended successfully in the joy of the mass.
