Opening the 98th Seven - Day Retreat

From Dec. 04th, 2022 (Nov. 11th, LC) to Dec. 11th, 2022 (Nov. 18th, LC) Hoang Phap pagoda officially opened the 98th Seven-Day Retreat with over 1000 male and female practitioners to attend.

At the lecture halls in the morning, the Organization guided practitioners' places to listen to teachings, eating, and sleep, as well as the necessary rules of Buddhists when attending the retreat, such as clasping hands, greeting, bowing, as well as the ritual of offering meals in the lunch.

In the afternoon, Most Master Thich Chan Tinh of Hoang Phap Pagoda came to the 1st floor of Dharma Wheel Building to give instruction to all attendees.

This occasion, the Master reviewed the dharma propagation stages, achievements that he and the pagoda’s monks have contributed to the development of Vietnamese Buddhism. Then, he shared his aspiration for finding a place to retreat, and devoted himself to following the Buddha's conducts after fulfilling the responsibility of leading and building the ashram for over 34 years. Meanwhile, he reminded and encouraged the mass to accompany Junior Thich Tam Truong, the New Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda to continue and develop the ashram to become more and more prosperous. The confiding part was short, but contained inner wishes and great compassion that he wanted to convey to the listeners. The Master hoped all Buddhist disciples would light the fire of enthusiasm to spread the Buddhadharma to all sentient beings.

After that, Head of the Organizer, Junior Thich Tam Truong popularized the retreat program with the purpose and rules to help the mass understand and diligently practice to get benefits of peace and happiness right now, being steps forward for achievement on the path of finding enlightenment.
