Over 6000 students from Colleges and Universities in Ho Chi Minh City came to Hoang Phap Pagoda to attend One-Day Retreat for Students March 05th, 2023 (Feb. 14th, Year of the Cat)
Before that, the students joined the tea meditation program, experienced the peace of breathing through each sip of tea, and felt the present moment slowly and leisurely on the evening of April 4. 03/2023.
In the morning, monks instructed students by the relaxed Yoga program under the cool, clear weather to feel peace and pureness in their breaths in and out....
After the chanting, all students listened to a dharma talk named “Let it go” preached by Bhikkhu Giac Minh Luat is currently studying at Nhu Lai Thien Tu, San Deigo, California, USA, PhD student at University of Thailand and the United States.
During the Dharma talk, The Junior reminds young people to see themselves as their own island, their own refuge, they should not seek refuge elsewhere. When doing wrong, we pollute ourselves; of course no one else, we will make ourselves pure only by eliminating mistakes. A bird perched on a branch is not afraid of the branch breaking because it believes in its wings. Don't hold on to someone when its heart doesn't turn to you anymore. Don't spend too much time and love on people who don't deserve it, but learn to love yourself, think about your loved ones, family and society. Experiencing the ups and downs of life, people can see peace in themselves, never let themselves become a pitiful person in the eyes of others. Don't rush into a relationship because of temporary loneliness when your heart is not loving enough for yourself, your family and those around. Don't be happy to open your mind to a person entering your heart when there are too many cracks and brokenness in your heart. Nothing is permanent - forever, all joys and sorrows will pass, so cherish the present moment, that is, cherish the predestined word in life. Happiness is self-embracing; the most important thing remains that the goal of your life is not love but happiness.
In the evening, all participants met with the guest of International Runner-up Thuy Van (Founder 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐲 𝐒𝐇𝐄, CEO of Caessium Entertainment Media Company) in the program 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 inspirational transmission.
The cultivated day ended in joy of the mass. When leaving, each student will receive a gift of Dharma, which is the book "Mouth karma" composed by Most Master Thich Chan Tinh.
