One-Day Retreat at Nhu Lai Thien Tu (Pagoda) in Arizona, United States

On Oct 09, 2016, on the occasion of the One Day Retreat with Five Hundred Recitation ceremony, the Venerable Thich Chan Tinh had a Dharma talk to Vietnamese Buddhists at Nhu Lai Thien Tu (pagoda) in Arizona, US.
In the morning session, he reviewed the Buddhism fundamentals as the meaning of taking refuge in Triratna, Five Precepts as well as etiquette for Buddhists in pagoda environment.
In the afternoon, the Venerable talked about the significant events in Buddha’s life and recommended the Buddhist devotees taking that great example to live and get the enlightenment and liberation in life.
In the evening, the Venerable genuinely shared his experience in practice and guided the mass applying the Eightfold Path into daily life to cease the wrong views, purifying body/speech/thoughts, inclining to the good direction to save oneself and others from the bonds of lust and craving.
Closing the Dharma talk, the Venerable Thich Chan Tinh expressed his gratitude to the Venerable Thich Giac Tri, the Abbot of Nhu Lai Thien Tu (pagoda) for all he did to support the delegation during its trip in Arizona, and sent blessings to the mass. May all get the best in their lives.
