One – Day Retreat and the charity on the 1st day of lunar month at Dong Cao Pagoda

On March 22nd, 2023 (intercalary Feb. 1st, LC), Buddhists everywhere returned to Dong Cao pagoda in Thanh Hoa province (belonging to Hoang Phap Pagoda ’s custom) to attend One – Day Retreat.

After the chanting Ksitigarbha sutra, Junior Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao pagoda arrived at the market at Nga Son district to buy fish, then come to Hung Long River to vow, and hold a rite setting free into nature.

Next, the mass and Junior Thich Tam Nghien, monks of Hoang Phap pagoda - returned to the temple, chanted the Eightfold Path of sutra, and performed the ritual of offering a meal on lunch at the dining room.

On the 1st day of the lunar month, the mass prepared nearly 350 vegetarian meals to give to patients being treated at Nga Son General Hospital, Next, the mass had lunch in mindfulness.

All practitioners chanted together the Lotus sutra led by Lien Ha Buddhists in the afternoon.

Junior Thich Tam Nghien reminded the Buddha teachings, Buddha reciting in walking meditation to purify three karma, as well as sharing the energy of cultivation day in the evening.
