Full of Buddhists everywhere returned to Suoi Phap Pagoda in Tay Ninh province (belonging to the Hoang Phap’s custom) to attend One-day Retreat on Mar. 12th, 2023 (Feb. 21st, LC).
After gathering in the main hall, all practitioners began to practice reciting the Buddha's name and walking. Next, Junior Thich Tam Huong, Abbot of Suoi Phap Pagoda came to the ashram to share a Dharma talk named Four Noble Truths in Buddhism.
According to the Lecturer, sentient beings have innumerable afflictions and karmic obstacles, so the Buddha taught many methods to help eliminate sufferings, gain peace, enlightenment and liberation from all suffering as well as bondage of samsara. Among the dharma that He has preached, Four Noble Truths are one of the fundamental practices that are important to all Buddhist practitioners. Those are four noble truths of saints including: Suffering: is the oppression, sadness, not happy...; the cause, or the source of all suffering; the cessation of suffering; The way leading to the cessation of all suffering.
From Four noble truths taught by the Buddha, we should think, reflect, and then apply them to our practice life to get peace, eliminate afflictions and suffering for ourselves. Next, Buddhists came to the dining hall to offer meals, and have lunch.
In the afternoon, the mass chanted the sutra of Infinite Life.
