On July 4th, 2016 (June 1st, Monkey year), Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hue guided Buddhists to offer alms to Summer Retreat Institute in HCMC and Can Tho City.

On the occasion of the summer’s peaceful retreat where resident monks and nuns are diligent in cultivation, training body and mind, reviewing principles, etc. Layman should remember the supporting duty to the honor Sangha with peace mind cultivation.

At Hoang Phap pagoda, after receiving the offerings, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh praised Buddhists who wholeheartedly help the Triratna in the retreat. At last, He also reminded that Buddhists must keep their belief on Three Refuges, as being right of observing, thinking and acting which avoid mistakes on the cultivating way. We practice five things of thinking, listening, precepts, offering and wisdom that make foundation of moral cultivation which helps lead to opening wisdom.

Next, Junior Thich Tam Hue leaded his offering group to Buddhism Institute of HCM city, the second campus in Le Minh Xuan commune, Binh Chanh district; the Nuns’ Retreat at Kim Lien Pagoda and the Monks’ Retreat at Lien Tri Pagoda in Binh Thuy district, Can Tho city.

The group released 5.2 tons of various fishes on Hau River.

The total of charity and presents was 250,000,000 dong, which donated by Buddhists.
