Linh An Temple - Taiwan: One-day retreat at the end of the year
Update: 25/12/2024
Ling An Temple, Taiwan organized a one-day retreat on December 22nd, 2024. The temple is like a common home for those who are far away from home to return home - a Buddhist home to practice together, do good deeds, and cultivate good fortune in the last days of 2024.
The participants welcomed Most Thich Tri Minh, Abbot of Khuong Viet Lien Hoa Temple in Oslo, Norway to visit and give a sermon. With his simplicity, tolerance, and high virtue, he brought much happiness and warmth to Buddhists, and sent many meaningful and profound lessons to the next generations to understand and be more diligent on the path of cultivation Buddhism.
Buddhists returning to the temple were extremely happy and peaceful when listening to the Dharma, practicing, chanting sutras and receiving early New Year gifts from the Most Lecturer.
All attendees chanted the Eight-thing Sutra, the Compassion Sutra, and performed a Food Offering Ritual for the spirits in the afternoon. Afterwards, everyone volunteers to clean the entire temple to prepare for the upcoming New Year.
The ashram gladly contributed a small offering to do good deeds to the monks and nuns in Myanmar suffering from the war making their living difficult and miserable.
