From the early of June 2018, the Abbot of Cu Linh Temple together with the help of Hoang Phap’s monks and the young volunteers were busy for preparing for the Summer Retreat. Now all are ready from the registration, decoration, sanitary cleaning, kitchen,…

On June 6th, 2018, about 600 students officially attended the 8th Summer Retreat on titled: “Awakened Hearts” was organized by Cu Linh Temple, Hai Duong City. In the morning, they all assembled for registration. In the afternoon, Bikkhuni Venerable Thich Nu Tue Hai, the chief of the organization, addressed some words to all students. Then, the monks from Hoang Phap temple instructed them how to behave in the temple as a greeting, bowing, worshiping,… and basic teachings for attending the retreat course. In the evening, they all gathered for chanting Ullambana Sutra and sitting meditation.

In the next morning, June 7th, 2018, the Opening Summer Retreat Ceremony was officially started with the witness of Venerable Thich Thanh Van together with others Venerable Monks, and the members of government from different ranks.

In this retreat some titles will appear for Dharma Talk: Awakened Hearts, Going to The Buddha, Happiness – Philosophy, and Marriage, Somewhere I Belong To. Some talk shows as Passion and Resilience and Buddhist Gameshow with diversified forms and awards. Finished the ceremony students started their course timetable.

The retreat course promises to bring about useful lessons and experiences for all. This also chance for making friends, exchanging knowledge and enjoying a meaningful summer in a temple.
