Honored Young Talents at S-Buddhists Gameshow-Summer Retreat in 2014.

The young endowed with tremendous vitality from all parts of the country came to the summer retreat. Their various styles, personalities, understandings made the most distinctive features in the Game show final at S-Buddhists-Summer Retreat 2014.

To help young people clearly be aware of who we are in this\r\nlife, what is our role and how we  achieve success in the present and\r\nfuture, in the final Dharma, the Venerable Dr Thich Vien Tri, Deputy Director\r\nof the Viet Nam Buddhist Institute in Ho Chi Minh City, delivered the lecture\r\non “Who are you?”

Almost any youth wants to show his/her ego in family and in\r\nsociety. In reality, they hardly define their own value. In the Dharma, the\r\nVenerable point out   that Shakyamuni Buddha gave up everything to\r\nfind value for himself. He taught that people neither suffer innate misery nor\r\nget inborn comfort; all results from our actions. We can see that the true\r\nvalue of a man is not what he has, but that is what he is living for, happiness\r\nand sufferings are caused by his own decision.

In the afternoon, they gathered in the main auditorium to\r\nattend the finals Game show S-Buddhists. Over qualifiers and semi-finals, the\r\nfive best candidates were honored at this round.

\r\n\r\n

The Venerable Thich Tam Tien and Nun Huong Nhu remained as\r\njudges in this final.  Specially, the actress Thanh Thủy's attendance in\r\nthe game show as a   judge makes the program more attractive. In\r\naddition, the program became more exciting and interesting   when two\r\nMC Việt Hùng and Thảo Nguyên hosted it.

This time, the five best candidates showed their knowledge\r\nof the Dharma in the form of speaking contest. Each of them had to make a\r\nquestion draw from the jury. Then, after a minute, they made presentation on\r\ntheir topic within five minutes. Then, the jury will put a random question to\r\ntest their improvised speech. After the stressful round, the jury gave the\r\nresults for a first prize, a second prize, two third prizes, a consolation\r\nprize and a special prize for the most popular contestant.

A first prize: Nguyễn Hồng Phúc.

\r\n\r\n

A second prize: Thái Đăng Quý.

\r\n\r\n

Two third prizes: Huỳnh Ngọc Thảo My and Quách Thị Bích Thảo.

\r\n\r\n

A consolation prize: Lê Hoàng Yến.

\r\n\r\n

A special prize: Nguyễn Hồng Phúc.

\r\n\r\n

 Interspersed in the contestants' implementation are\r\ndancing and singing performances of the singers: Anh Tam, Viet My, Mai Quoc\r\nViet and Diem Nhung model group. Some in the retreat also contributed to the\r\nshow with the dance of Reciting Avalokitesvara's name Regularly, the Great\r\nCompassion Mantra and the comedy Tinh Cha (Love of Father).
