Holding Pravaranà Ceremony of Director Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (DBVBS) in Hoc Mon district

Besides the peaceful and harmonious manifestation of the great Sangha, this ritual also determines the growth of the Precepts-Concentration-Wisdom of a bhikkhu, after ending the cultivation period, the monks will continue to propagate the dharma.

According to the Buddhist spirit, the Pravaranà ceremony is a monk respectfully asking for another monk to show his faults on the actions that were caused by his body, mouth and thoughts. When listening to criticism from the other is right, this monk will sincerely repent to be pure.

As a result, the Sangha becomes perfect and deserves to be a field of blessings for the donors. After this ceremony, the Bhikkhu added one year old of the rain retreat, meaning 1 year old of religion.

This is also an opportunity for lay Buddhists to make offerings to the Venerable Monks on the final day of the retreat.

With the witness of the great Sangha and the support from devout Buddhists, the Pravaranà ceremony fulfills the joys of participants.
