Handing over tortoises at Dau Tieng Wildlife Conservation Station, Binh Duong

On March 27th, 2023, Junior Thich Tam Hue, and Buddhists of Hoang Phap Pagoda went to Dau Tieng Wildlife Conservation Station, Binh Duong to hand over tortoises which belong to group 2 of animals that need to be preserved in nature.

After receiving two Yellow-headed temple turtles, weighing 9 kg (30 years old), one 8 kg with 3 eggs offered by Mr Son; along with two Giant Asian pond turtles, weighing 7 kg (20 years old) bought by some other Buddhists; Ms. Dieu Hoa, Lien My and Ms. Liem's siblings bought 2 Giant Asian pond turtles (5.1 kg and 4.1 kg, from 10 - 15 years old).

Junior Thich Tam Hue and Buddhists took turtles to Dau Tieng Wildlife Conservation Center, Binh Duong to ask veterinarians to take care of them, and recover before releasing them into Cat Tien National Forest. After that, the monk and Buddhists took refuge, and recited Buddha's name for these turtles.

On this occasion, the delegation had a visit to some animal rescue cages at the Station.
