Giving Dharma Sermon at Dien Quang Pagoda, Bac Ninh

In response to the invitation of Jun. Ven. Abbot Thich Tam Quan, Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh visited Dien Quang Pagoda, Guot village, Viet Hung Commune, Que Vo town, Bac Ninh province to give Dharma lecture to Buddhists who attended One-day Retreat on the afternoon 12nd June, 2016 (8th May, Monkey Year).

In the Dharma sermon, the Senior Venerable asked and encouraged the Abbot as well as lauding the spirit of practicing and learning of the great assembly. He also wanted Ven. Thich Tam Quan to further promote the spirit of widely proclaiming the truth of Dharma. In addition to holding retreats for Buddhists to study doctrines, it was advised to accelerate the campaign and put Buddhism into life by organizing charitable programs, giving free vegetarian meals in hospitals inside and outside the province. Holding and organizing retreats as well as Buddhism festivals more effectively and successfully was for Dien Quang Pagoda becoming one of the center of practicing and propagating Buddhism not only in Bac Ninh province but also all around the country.

 

To end the sermon session, the Senior Venerable recommended everyone to have own mind to practice, diligently follow Buddha's teaching, particularly promote relatives to gain Dharma enlightenment, relying on the Triple Jewels, and do good things, which was the only way to create benefit for themselves, their families and society.
