Fourth Birthday of Dharma Guardian Group
The Dharma Guardian Group was formed in the year 2011 and originated from the initiative of the youths with enthusiasm and activeness so as to help the pagoda in Buddha’s work. The number of the youths enrolled to be the group’s members has been increasing since then - up to now the total is over 3,000. Their need for studying and cultivating themselves in Budhist Dharma has also been increasing. It is for the very reasons that Hoang Phap Pagoda has organised various activities that suit the youths’ aspirations in their study and self-improvement, work and entertainment so that they may have a wholesome and useful playing- field.
Four years have elapsed. So, the four birthday of Hoang Phap Pagoda Dharma Guardian Group was also the occasion on which its Management Board and its members together look back to their formation and development process so as to make its coming study and cultivation programs
After opening and introducing the program, Junior Thich Tam Manh preresented for the organizers and had a speech. Next Junior Thich Tam Pho announced brief to the group‘s activities on the last year as well the plans for next year.
On behalf for the group’s members, Buddhist Tinh Phuoc read his Buddhist Drama protecting and cultivated vowing words as well as his cultivating under the Monks ‘s instruction
Coming to witness and take part in the program, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Dao, on behalf of Hoang Phap pagoda, expressed compliments as well as encouragements to the members of the group. He praised them for their enthusiasm in their supporting Buddha’s work during the past. Their work really brought them good blessings and profits to the community as well. “I hope that you will always well perform your studies as well as your cultivation so that you may become useful persons not only for the Dharma but also for our society, and only in such a case may you deserve being a true Dharma guardian†Jun. Ven. Thich Tam Dao also added. “In addition, the managing board together with the group members should well perform their own roles in putting forth study and cultivation programs so that ultimately expected results will be obtained.â€
On this occasion Hoang Phap Pagoda also had its recompenses aiming at commending those who had best achievements in Buddha’s work as well as their past progress made during their studies and cultivation. Although the presents were little in value, they showed an encouragement of the spirit of those who wouldexert themselves better in the year to come.
Following the main parts of the ceremony commemorating the birthday were the musical performances performed by members of the Dharma Guardian Group and the singers who had been obtained the high awards of the progams as “Little children’s singingâ€, “Familiar figuresâ€, “Little heroesâ€.
