Flower Lantern Ceremony Commemorating Buddha Amitabha at Phuoc Thien pagoda

On Dec, 20th 2015 (Nov, 10th Goat Year) from nun Venerable Thich Nư Chuc Hai’s invitation, Phuoc Thien nunnery’s abbot, Hoang Phap’s monks and Buddhists came to assist the organization of flower lantern night celebrating Buddha Amitabha.

The shimmering candles were lit with all sincere hearts.  The light of the intellectual and compassion pervaded everywhere in space, everyone passed the sacred flame as a reminding being always sagacious on the path of spiritual process. In the solemn and peaceful atmosphere, forty-eight great vows of Amitabha Buddha sounded; waking the exile and wandering people get back to the wisdom destination.

 

The lit candles, pervaded a corner of the sky, stood for the belief of Tathagata teachings, will be shined increasingly, which shines for those who have been lost among the mundane realm. We hope that the light will be reserved by virtue, concentration and knowledge of two lines of Bhagavan’s disciples, the lantern night will be more meaningful. The night was also the symbol of continuous transmission spirit, transmitted the light of wisdom, compassion, love and understanding; so that practitioners can feel the Buddha’s grace and mercy fully, from that they will be wiser on their cultivation and virtue preaching.
