Extracurricular classes of Xuan Mai Ocean English Language Center Edu At Hoa Phuc Pagoda – Hanoi

Popular knowledge is an important part of life, but morality and personality retain a more important position because it is fundamental for building a complete man, a meaningful life. On desire of sowing the Dharma, which helps children with new experiences in ethical awareness, training and nurturing the minds to become a child who know how to care, share and love others right from young age.

October 28th Monkey Year (Nov.27th,2016) Phuc Hoa Temple (Quoc Oai - Ha Noi) in collaboration with the Center for English Ocean Edu Xuan Mai held a practice extracurricular activities and games for nearly 150 pupils.

Before starting the curricular activities, they were led by Venerable Thich Tam Giain –a monk of Hoa Phuc Pagoda to guiding posture, worshiping Buddha,vowing gesture.

Extracurricular activities become more exciting and more interesting when children are engaged in learning and singing with the monks, parents and teachers, playing a game called "Honesty". In this game, the monks would in turn tell to their mistakes that children often suffer as: elling a lie, addicting playing computer games and the internet. Thosewhowerefouled wouldraise their hand,admitting their faults in front of Buddha and Venerables, who would kept confidential and would not say to whom this error. All attendants were to close their eyes until completed. This is a small game, but it has impact on the children’s psychology, causing them brave and confident enough to bear the confess, fix the mistakes.

Small Buddha images and lovely bracelets given were the prayer blessing them to be healthy, obedient, and to be good students. Hoa Phuc Temple monks and English Center Ocean Edu Xuan Mai hoped this would be a great experience, an unforgettable memory for children and parents.
