Entering the 2022 Summer Retreat at Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa

In order to help for the Youth having a useful playground in 2022 summer; although the facilities are still lacking, Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa, (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda) has continued to organize the 6th Summer Retreat from July 14th to 18th, 2022, with the theme "Lotus spreading flagrantly" for Teenagers being 14-24 years old to attend. The retreat program has many meaningful activities to lead the youth to learn and take care of their spiritual life.

On the afternoon of July13th, 2022, nearly 100 young people everywhere returned to the temple to register for the course. On behalf of the Organizer, Junior Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda, Head of the Organizers had some messages about the retreat essentials to the parents and students present.

Then, Buddhist Tinh Dong, Chairman of the Youth Buddhist’s Club of Dong Cao Pagoda, met and disseminated to the Volunteers. Besides, Buddhist Tue Lien Thanh and volunteers arranged and divided all participants into groups and guided activities during the retreat.

After chanting the Repayment Sutra guided was by Junior Thich Tam Khiet in the evening, Pham Tai Khoi read the vows on behalf of the students.

On behalf of the Organizers, Junior Thich Dao Tin read the retreat rules to students. After that, the Abbot gave some messages to the students about the purpose of the retreat to help them cultivate virtue and have a holy moral life.

Through there, Junior Thich Tam Khiet and Junior Thich Tam Nghien have guided some necessary demeanor of a Buddhist disciple, such as: greetings, worshiping Buddha, folding blankets, arranging slippers... Finally, young learners had the time sitting medition, listening to the Buddha teachings shared by Junior Thich Tam Hung.
